There are several reasons to have a professional appraisal carried out. This can be done for:

The costs of an appraisal depend on the number of art objects and the location where the appraisal is performed.

Appraise objects by value

Valuations of valuables may be desirable for a variety of reasons. The value depends on the reason for the appraisal.

Insurance

The insurance value is the amount necessary to acquire an object of equivalent type, quality, condition and age.

Injury

In order to receive compensation for damage to objects of value, your insurance company requires a written appraisal report. The write-down is based on the value before and after the incident.

Sale

The resale value is the fair market value, based on the current market value.

Distribution

To prevent a conflict situation, an appraisal can provide a definite answer, for example in the case of a divorce or inheritance. The value is based on the sales value.

Succession

The inheritance value of objects determines the amount of the tax return for an inheritance.

Peter van Os is a Registered Appraiser in the field of Art and Antiquities and recognized and registered as such by theFederation TMV, also certified in accordance with the European Standard EN-45013 and sworn in this field on December 28, 1981.

The costs of an appraisal depend on the number of art objects and the location where the appraisal is performed.

Valuation in our gallery

You are most welcome in our gallery in Oirschot by appointment.

 

After investigation, I will inform you verbally about the value of your object(s). If desired, the findings are recorded in writing.

Prices

• Per object: €150

• Written report: €100

 

If you want to have multiple objects appraised, you will receive an adjusted quote from us.

Valuation on location

I carry out valuations of one or more objects at locations in the Netherlands and abroad. 

 

An indication of the costs is given in advance, including the following: 

iestimation number of hours, rclaim time and mpotential research costs.

Prices

• Visit per hour: €250 (min. 1 hour)

• Travel time per hour: €100

• Written report: €100

Wat kost een taxatie
  • We would like to distribute the inheritance of our parents fairly. How do we handle that?
    In that case I will come to you. Usually the collection and contents are still in the parental home. I'll let you know which objects are of real value. Then I will indicate what the value is exactly, so that you can make a fair distribution yourself based on this information. If it concerns a few objects that are easy to transport, you can of course also have an appraisal carried out at our location in Oirschot.
  • I'd like to have an object appraised, but I don't think it's worth much.
    In that case, make use of our option to first request an Appraisal Advice free of charge. We will let you know if your item is worth more or less than €250. If it is worth more than € 250, you can still have your object appraised.

    Bij een waarde van minder dan € 250 krijgt u per mail de uitkomst. Schat Peter uw object op meer dan € 250? Dan zal hij persoonlijk contact met u opnemen om te kijken of het relevant voor u is om de taxatie mondeling of schriftelijk te laten vastleggen.
  • Hoe snel krijg ik reactie?
    You can expect a response within 2 working days.
  • What do I do if the object turns out to be worth more than €250?
    If your object is worth more than €250, we advise you to have an appraisal carried out. The costs of an appraisal at our location in Oirschot are € 150 per object. We will make a tailor-made price agreement for more than 3 objects. We also do this if you want to have the valuation carried out at your own location.
